Our next stop on our vacation was my family's "Farm". It is not a working farm, but hopefully will someday be a hobby farm, with at least a garden. :)
Did some work to continue improvements and prepare it for the second family reunion of the Larsons. We will also have an Edlund reunion there the same weekend.
Eldon brought Grandma Grace up to stay with us there. She and I cleaned up the lilac arbour and a small flower area under the crab apple tree. We burned a lot of dead tree limbs etc. But it now is ready for the little ones to play in a nice shady area.
Carl J. cleared and mowed a portion of the overgrown field. G.P. and I also took a turn at the riding lawn mower. :)
You can sort of see G.P. through the window he put into the shed while there. He also work on fixing a wall in the house.
While were were there we saw a bald eagle several times, a fox squirrel and a humming bird that almost landed on me! :) Oh yes, a gold finch also.
It was sunny every day and we so enjoyed just sitting on the porch looking and listening to all the sights and sounds.
